INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL
FILM FESTIVAL

Indianapolis, Indiana - USA
April 23 to May 3, 2008

The 5th Annual INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (IIFF) is committed to celebrating the art of cinema, fostering new talent and helping independent filmmakers connect with the industry on a global scale. Based in Indiana's happening capital city, the Festival screens inventive, visionary films that might not normally achieve wide distribution.

The Festival is relentless in its quest for the best films around, locally and internationally. IIFF has developed a reputation for its excellent programming, including short films BINTA AND THE GREAT IDEA by Javier Fesser, Borja Cobeaga's ERAMOS POCOS, Shane Acker's 9, and RYAN by Chris Landreth; all have been nominated for Academy Awards, while WABee Ari Sandel took home the Oscar for WEST BANK STORY. And Alfredo De Villa's ADRIFT IN MANHATTAN, Andrea Staka's FRAULEIN, and Monty Lapica's SELF MEDICATED have all received theatrical distribution deals since their IIFF showings.

Accepted filmmakers receive all-access passes to IIFF festivities, and compete to win many of IIFF's awards and cash prizes totaling $20,000. With plenty of boutique distribution firms in attendance, opportunities for inking distribution deals are ripe, and the Festival wants nothing more than for their filmmakers to succeed.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
The Indianapolis International Film Festival presents films that inform, enlighten, and educate the community by providing a vivid reflection of the rich cultural diversity of Indianapolis and the world beyond.

MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
IIFF prides itself on its programming variety, and seeks films that express the universality of the human condition through unique stories, while continuing to showcase and celebrate genre films, including comedies, horror films, sci-fi, and action films.

The 2007 Festival was a huge success, screening 190 films across 10 days for more than 6,000 attendees, and the fest hopes to double the size of their audience during the 2008 season, broadening exposure for selected films. IIFF has recently signed on local NBC affiliate WTHR as a television partner, and has an extensive television marketing campaign in place. IIFF also partners with some of the state's most powerful arts organizations, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, Oranje, and the Indiana Film Society.

Submit to the Indianapolis International Film Festival today to get your chance to make it in the Midwest!
