Producer
The producer brings the money, cast, crew, screenplay writers,
and everyone else that's going to be involved in the Movie together. He's
the big cheese. Although he may know nothing about making a movie he the
guy that puts it all in the soup pot and turns on the fire.
Directors
There are many Directors involved in creating
a movie. The most familiar is the Film Director but there are as many
Directors are there are positions on a production site.
Casting
Director
The Casting Director is involved in casting the actors. He will
work with the Film Director and pick and choose the best actors for the
movie.
Locations
Manager
The locations Manager will find the locations that will be used in the
movie.
Animator
Will create the animations in the movie.
Multi-Media
Producer-Director (TV)
Creating a copy made for TV.
Production
Design
Designs the sets for the Scenes.
Avid
Online Editor
Avid is a video editor program that allows editing to be done online.
Hair / Makeup
The people involved in Doing the hair and makeup of all the actors and
the people that will monitor every actor while shooting to make sure hair
and makeup are wright. This may involve hundreds of people just for hair
and makeup.
Composers
The people involved in creating the music and sound effects that will
be use in the movie. All music and sound effects has to be original for
copywrite reasons.
Carpenters
Hundreds of carpenters are needed to build the sets, staging, platforms,
whole towns, roadways, city skylines, and what ever else will be need
in the movie.
Dressers
These are the people that will dress the actors. Most of the time the
actors will not be able to dress them selves because there will be effects
that need to be taken into account so the closes will need to be put on
a certain way to complete the effect.
Props
Hundreds of people will be involved in creating the props in the movie.

Editor
/ Videographer
These are the people that put the movie together once it's been shoot.
The editors have a lot to say about how the movie will look in the end,
what scenes will and will not be included in the completed movie.
Production
Coordinator
The Production Coordinator keeps tract of what's being done and when.
On a large production there may be many scenes being shot at once. The
Production Coordinator is kind of like a traffic cop, keeps everything
running smoothly. For example the star can't be in two places at one time.
Can;'t shoot a scene over here if the actors you need are working over
there.
Videographer
A videographer deals with the video parts of the movie. Movies are usually
shot with 35 mm film but there are time video must be use and this is
where the videographer comes in deals with the shooting , editing, and
special effects tat will be added to the video so it can then be film
copied.
Avid
Tech
Avid is the standard for video editing.
Camera
Operators
These are the people that handel the camera when shooting the scene.
Finance
There are hundreds of people that deal with the day to day finance of
a movie production.
Weapons
Specialist
Weapon Specialists are need to handel and train the actors in the weapons
that will be used in the movie.
Gaffers
These are the people that put everything together. They deal with lighting,
microphones and staging for all the necessary equipment need in the shoot.
Art Dept
this department deals with the art that need to be in the scene to create
the video effects.
These are just
a few of the hundreds of positions involved in making a movie. This is
why there are so many documentaries today. With a documentary you reduce
this list to a handful of people.
