Many people who like writing feel inadequate when it comes to finding story ideas and plots or story structures. They neglect their most precious resource- what the writer has seen and experienced. A great screen play writer has originality, passion, an individual voice, as well he is a craftsman, not afraid to be different. The key lies those moments of clarity when one stumbles on a special truth or meaning. To be an original writer you must be able to think radically at the outset. Good writers understand how people use language. The key to becomming a writer, it is to keep writing, and to keep submitting your writing to an audience. Strong, communicative writing comes from the struggle to describe what is, not what should be. Start by atempting to discribe feelings and visual things. Learn by doing. Take thing that you see or feel and put them down on paper. You may find, at first, this is very difficult. Cary paper and pen with you, so that you can start writing thoughts down when you think them. these thoughts later may become inspirations. Once your concept is clear and the research you will have to do with any story is under way, you can then turn their attention to structuring the story, seeking out a natural beginning, middle, and end. You can use a three-act structure as your basic building block. "Story is structure" is one of screenwriting's most enduring clichés, and not without reason. So what you first want to do is start writing short stories discribing something you see hear or feel. You want to write down edeas as them come to you, keeping a list of these ideas for later use. You will want to read many screen plays to let the screen play style into your blood. Start doing stories about things you know nothing about and go through the research to learn whats needed to complete your story. Any art requires at least 4 hours a day of practice to become great. Yes all your greats payed their dues and part of those dies is a regimen of practice of at least 4 hours a day. that's only if you want to become great. ninty nine persent of all the people talk of great things there going to do, but only one persent pays their dues to become great and only one persent of them ever become great. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO FIND OUT IF YOU ARE REALY GREAT. I'd be 99.9% right in saying "I don't think so". Written by
