The SONOMA VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL takes place against the beautiful backdrop of California's wine country. Now in its 11th year, the Festival draws in the excitement, press exposure, and industry celebrities of larger festivals, all in one of the most intimate and luxurious settings in the world.

Hailed as a "cinematic magic carpet ride" by IFC News, Sonoma prides itself on providing every filmmaker opportunities to mingle with breakthrough artists and industry leaders, which explains why the Festival has developed as a hot zone for screening some of the best independent films around. More than one-third of last year's official selections have already received distribution deals, which speaks strongly to the Festival's increasingly prestigious reputation.

Official selections compete for the esteemed jury and audience awards as well as a $10,000 cash prize awarded to the Best Narrative Feature. World-class programming and fine filmmaker hospitality, paired with the best of wine country cuisine in a stunning natural setting, make Sonoma Valley Film Festival a rich experience on the international festival circuit.
